Learn To Lose Weight After Your Initial Success

In our third articles in the Learn To Lose Weight Series, we’ll be taking a look at what happens when you’ve had a bit of success, but aren’t quite all the way there yet. This middle ground is what makes or breaks a lot of people as they learn to lose weight and keep the weight off.

So, you’ve lost enough weight that you can notice your clothes are fitting looser, you’re feeling better, mornings are easier and you have more energy all day. Off to a great start! Would you believe a lot of people start to celebrate at this point by indulging in the very foods that made them fat in the first place? It’s a natural response to start to think you can go back to old habits now that you’ve tasted success, but this is the very time you need to kick it into overdrive. As you learn to lose weight, you need to learn to keep going with it!

You can’t just learn to lose weight, lose a few pounds and stop. It gets easier as you go, because you learn more and more about weight loss and about yourself, but it also gets harder because the results aren’t as drastic since you have less and less to lose. Learn to lose weight for life and you’ll be able to keep it off for life, but it’s an ongoing process. There’s no finish line, because reverting back to how you used to eat will simple wash away all of your work.

Keep at it. That’s the simplest but most relevant advice you’ll find as you learn to lose weight. Just keep going. Enjoy the ups and learn from the downs. The train just has to keep rolling.

Once you have tasted success, you know what it takes and you know that it is possible. The key is just not getting too comfortable with that, always try to learn to lose weight in new ways, because knowledge is power and that power will make you thin.
